When I started to paint in watercolors, I knew right then that I can never give it up!
Having graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, I already knew how to sketch well. I took preliminary lessons in Watercolors in 1998 from Katherine Uitz of Leander, TX and later I developed my own style by reading and practicing on my own.
In December 2012 I exhibited 12 of my paintings in a joint show at Asian Culture Center of Austin, TX.
I have been painting since then. My best work comes out when I systematically use glazing technique. I also create preliminary value sketches and keep notes. I believe that each pigment has a unique characteristic that needs to be cleverly incorporated in a painting. If I stay true to these beliefs, then my painting starts to sing!
